Afon Veterinary Centre

COVID-19 Update

Please note we have introduced social distancing measures in order to protect you and our staff from coronavirus.  We are following the guidance from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the British Veterinary Association.

Our Neath surgery is open 7 days a week for consultations including vaccinations.  Our other branches have more limited opening hours, please see below.

Please phone us on 01639 642739 before coming down to the surgery.  Our team will triage all animals over the phone initially.   We will be carrying out phone consultations, for which there will be a charge and we will, in limited circumstances, be able to prescribe medications over the phone.  If our team feel your pet needs a hands on consultation or treatment we are carrying this out in our main Neath branch.

If you need repeat medication for your pet please give us as much notice as you can, ideally one week.  At present we are posting worm, flea and tick preparations to you to reduce the number of people coming to the surgery.

Please note we will not be allowing anyone other than staff members into the building at any time.

Once you have arrived at the practice please phone us to let us know you are here, stay in your car and a member of staff will come and collect your pet.  We will consult with you over the phone.

Please bear with us as consultations are taking  longer than normal.

We will not be accepting cash at the practice and will ask you to pay for medications and treatment by card over the phone at the time of ordering or treatment of your pet.
